Air Conduction (AC) threshold determination is the measurement of hearing loss by means of using air and tones that travel through the ear canal into the cochlea. The technique used here is an ascending/ descending technique and is called bracketing. Before beginning any hearing test on a patient, one must inspect a patient’s ear by performing an otoscopy and proper bracing techniques.
